Cortina Fashion Weekend 2023

Cortina Fashion Weekend: The highly anticipated event where the Dolomites shine with glamour

The rendezvous with high fashion reaches its 13th edition with this year’s Cortina Fashion Weekend. The Dolomites will dress up full of glamour during the highly anticipated CFW, an event by Cortina For Us, in the heart of the Queen of the Dolomites during the Immaculate Conception Weekend. A Weekend full of events, confirming the enchanting fascination of Cortina and the growing focus on the upcoming 2026 Olympic winter games.

This years schedule is again boasting with many events, presentations and inaugurations.

Starting off December 7th with the ribbon cutting at the inauguration ceremony, featuring the mayor of Cortina Gianluca Lorenzi and the president of Cortina For US, Franco Sovilla.

Shortly after, a spectacular musical dance performance celebrating femininity by the “Drum Dance Woman Company”- Project will take place at the iconic choral shell in the heart of Cortina at Corso Italia.

Mario Zimei, curator of the project, focuses on the body and energy of women in his performances. DDWECO are dancers and percussionists, who unite the magic of dancing with the power of percussion into a harmonic and sensual, but also powerful and almost aggressive unity.

On Friday 8th, again at the Angelo Dibona Plaza, the schedule of the big events of this year’s winter season will be presented, highlighting the partnership between Dolomiti Bellunesi and the National Italian Curling, in collaboration with the Cortina Foundation. The “Pink Aperitif” will be held after – powered by the DMO Dolomiti Bellunesi Foundation.

One of the big novelties of the 13th edition of the CFW is the event ROSADIRA on December 9th: A project unifying fashion, nature and performance showcased at the mountain slope Rumerlo near Cortina but also streamed onto a huge screen at the choral shell in the center of the village.

The 9th of December is devoted to high fashion with an exclusive party of the luxury brand FENDI, presenting their Winter Holiday Capsule Collection with unique pieces at the multi-brand store Franz Kraler, Corso Italia. The event centers on the iconic Peekaboo and Baguette bags in different sizes and exotic types of leather. The it-bags form the main protagonists of the event but are supported by exclusive garments, emblem of the sophisticated luxury brand.

For this occasion, the store windows have been carefully decorated celebrating the Fendi Holiday Collection with a dazzling sky full of stars, palettes of silver, blue and white, geometrical stars and – of course – with the iconic logo of the Roman luxury brand.

The event will continue at the Chalet Rio de saco, owned by Franz Kraler, with a Michelin-star dinner accompanied by a sophisticated musical performance, inviting everyone to dance until the late hours of the night.

During the CFW the inauguration of the futuristic pop-up-store by MONCLER with its Apres-Ski Collection Moncler Grenoble will be held at the Franz Kraler Store, Corso Italia 119.

In addition, the Florentine brand Ferragamo also presents its Apres-Ski Collection at the Multibrand Store.

Luis Vuitton honors during the Cortina Fashion Weekend the fashion artisans and the know-how of the fashion house by unveiling the “Cabinet of Wonders”: a breathtaking selection of unique pieces for the festive days.

Winter sport enthusiasts will also have their share at the Cortina Fashion Weekend, thanks to Cortina Skiworld, which inaugurated this year’s skiing season on November 11th with the first snow that fell at Col Gallina (Falzarego Skilift) and continues to welcome the season with the opening of the ski lifts Tofane, Faloria and 5 Torri during the first week in December.

The concept of Cortina Skiworld becomes more and more technologically advanced and user-friendly for winter sport lovers, thanks to the smart system buying skiing passes online and by simply scanning the purchased pass with QR-Code directly at the lift access points.

From mountain tops to the valley, the technological evolution of the region is an essential topic throughout the event.

Another example is the Hotel de la Poste, that signed an important collaboration with Radio Cecchetto, a new radio station by Claudio Cecchetto, available via DAB (digital radio) and online.

Cecchetto returned to his passion and will broadcast each Friday with Riccardo Permattei, starting December 8th until the end of the season, from the Hotel de la Poste.

The news from Hotel de la Poste do not end here!

Every evening of the Immaculate Conception Weekend the hotel invites the attendees of the Cortina Fashion Weekend to join their on-side festivities.

Starting December 7th with an exclusive fashion show, where the traditional garment “Tabarro” has been newly interpreted by upcoming designers through ostentatious embroidery and thought-after fabrics.

On December 9th the hotel hosts an exclusive tasting event by Cortina Mountain Gin and the once-in-a-lifetime experience to enjoy and taste the Limited Edition – with only 500 bottles produced -honoring Carlo and Enrico Vanzina.

The Hotel de la Poste in collaboration with Franz Kraler celebrate the authors and directors of the Movie “Vacanze Natale ‘83” (Christmas Holidays of 1983), Carlo and Enrico Vanzina between the 15th and 17th of December 2023 – exactly 40 years later: A homage to remember the historic times with a touch of nostalgia, the economic boom and the lightheartedness of the times.
